My Product Management Goals for 2023

2022 has been a crazy year for me. I quit my job to become an entrepreneur. Then started writing blogs I thought nobody would care about. People did and so I got asked to speak, coach, interim, and much more. It’s been all go and no brakes. The goal I set out on with my writing at the start of the year was: to write about one piece per week and gain 250 followers.

Almost 50 articles divided over LinkedIn and Medium and about 3000 followers later, I can safely say the bar was set too low. This doesn’t matter though, because I found two things I enjoy tremendously. Writing and being my own boss. Those two things are worth the world to me now, and I will probably never go back on either of them.

Still, I want to set a new bar for 2023. So here are my Product Management (and life) goals of 2023.

  1. Finish my book.

I’ve been writing for six months. Draft after draft gets edited, changed, rejected, and deleted. Writing a book is vastly different from writing blogs. I even changed the entire subject halfway through. Setting the bar too low last year taught me that this is an achievable goal. I just need to focus.
